15 February 2011 -
new short Film Later, directed by Simon Duric and based on the short story by Michael Marshall Smith, has completed post-production and is being entered into film festivals worldwide. More news as they come in.

2 September 2009 - Eel Girl will be touring the world again as part of OneDotZero and the BBC Film Network's New British Talent roster, starting with screenings next week at the BFI South Bank - http://www.onedotzero.com/events.php


5 August 2009 - Eel Girl is now available to view online on the BBC Film Network.


23 June 2009 - Night of the Hell Hamsters can now be viewed online in its glorious B-movie entirety on MySpace, YouTube and Shooting People. In other news, Eel Girl just keeps going. After screening at Dresden, the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival and Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival in April, it's just screened at the Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto and will be part of the special touring screening of the Dresden Film Festival this summer.

- Eel Girl will be screening at three festivals in April: the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival, the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival and the Dresden International Short Film Festival.


16 January 2009 -
Eel Girl has won Best Horror at the 6th London Short Film Festival and was nominated for the UK Film council Award for best short film, bringing its total haul of awards and nominations to 13 and 6 respectively.


02 January 2009 -
Elisabeth Pinto will be attending the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus  (6th-13th February 2009).


20 October 2008 -
Over the summer, Nimble Pictures's Elisabeth Pinto - alongside Bex Hopkins - got attached to one of the feature projects taking part in The Big Pitch, a competition with £500,000 up for grabs to make a film with - where the audience gets to choose which film gets made. Elisabeth's feature is broad rom-com Til Jihad Do Us Part, written by newcomer Shai Hussain. Jihad has now made it  to the final round with three other projects. Final voting will take place on Saturday 6th December following a live pitch in Newcastle as part of the Northen Lights Film Festival. More details soon.


17 October 2008 - Eel Girl has won 3 awards at the H.P. Lovecraft Festival - Best Short Film, Best Special Effects and Best Comedy.


8 October 2008 -Eel Girl has won its second award: Best Special Effects at the Dark Carnival Film Festival.

 
6 October 2008 - it's been a busy summer for Eel Girl and it's going to be a busy autumn as well. Since July Eel Girl has been selected for the following festivals: Shriekfest (Los Angeles, US), the Israel Fantastic Film Festival (Tel-Aviv, Israel),  the Evergreen Film Festival (Korea), Fancine Film Festival (Malaga, Spain), Ravenna Nightmare Fest (Italy), Amberg Horror Festival (Germany), the Brest European Film Festival, the Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival (Brazil), the Leeds International Film Festival, the San Sebastian Horror & Fantasy Festival (Spain) and Court Metrange (France) - among others. 18 July 2008 -
Eel Girl continues to blaze a trail through the festival circuit. It has been invited to screen in competition at the prestigious Sitges International Film Festival in Catalonia (Spain), and it's also been invited to apply to the San Sebastian Horror & Fantasy Festival as well as the Leeds International Film Festival. Recent selections: Rhode Island International Film Festival, PiFan (South Korea), Montreal Fantasia, Fright Night (US), Dragon*Con (US), the San Francisco Short Film Festival and the Homegrown Film Festival (New Zealand).


16 April 2008 -
Night of the Hell Hamsters will be screening at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival in June.


11 April 2008
- Eel Girl has won the Best Visual Effects award at the 2008 Night of Horror Film Festival in Sydney.


4 March 2008 -
Eel Girl will be in competition at the Austin Fantastic Fest in September 2008.


10 January 2008 -
Eel Girl is nearing completion but has already been selected for the 2008 London International Festival of Science-Fiction and Fantastic Film. Night of the Hell Hamsters, meanwhile, will be coming out on DVD in the US in March  as part of a compilation of award-winning horror shorts. More details soon.


01 December 2007 - Hoopla! has been selected for the 5th London Short Film Festival and will be screening at the ICA on Saturday 5 January 2008. Happy New Year!


16 November 2007 -  both Night of the Hell Hamsters and Hoopla! have been selected for the 2007 Big Issue Film Festival at the Barbican and will be screening there on November 27 and 28 respectively.


13 November 2007 - Night of the Hell Hamsters has won the Best Horror award at the inaugural Vine Short Film Festival in Los Angeles.


22 October 2007 - Night of the Hell Hamsters has won the Audience Favourite prize at the Big Mountain Short Film Festival in New Zealand, and has been selected for the upcoming Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Festival.


19 October 2007 - Night of the Hell Hamsters has been selected for the 2007 Vine Short Film Festival, making Nimble Pictures eligible to win a film production deal.


10 October 2007 - Night of the Hell Hamsters has been nominated for 4 awards at the Terror Film Festival: Best Horror Short Film, Best Editing, Best Music Score and Best Special Effects.


08 October 2007 -
Night of the Hell Hamsters is having a very successful October, having been selected for a number of top festivals. Over the next few weeks and months, it will be showing at
Ravenna Nightmare Film Festival, ScreamFest LA, Hollywood Horror Sci-Fi and Fantasy Film Festival, Thriller! Chiller!, Eerie Horror Festival,  B-Movie Fest, Big Mountain Short Film Festival, Terror Film Festival and Show Me Shorts. Hell Hamsters has now featured in over 20 festivals.


1 October 2007 - Night of the Hell Hamsters has won the Best Cinematography award at the Tabloid Witch Awards - over a number of feature films!


6 August 2007 - Hoopla! has been selected for representation and support by the British Council, while Night of the Hell Hamsters will be in competition in November at the best UK short film festival - Encounters International Short Film Festival.


10 July 2007
- Night of the Hell Hamsters is still encountering huge success on the festival circuit and will be screening at Dragon*Con, Montreal Fantasia, Rhode Island International Film Festival and Dark Carnival Festival.


1 July 2007 - Hoopla! will be screening at the 2007 Palm Springs International Short Film Festival.


16 May 2007 -
Night of the Hell Hamsters has won the Audience Award at the 2007 Zompire Film Festival.


29 April 2007 - Shooting has completed on Paul Campion's Eel Girl, a dark tale of a scientist's obsession with the creature he's studying... Shooting took place at Weta Workshop in Wellington, New Zealand, with Elisabeth Pinto producing alongside Jenn Scheer. Overseeing the make-up effects and part of the set building was oscar-winner Richard Taylor and Gino Acevedo. The Director of Photography was Richard Bluck, whose credits include Black Sheep and Lord of the Rings.


30 March 2007 - Elisabeth Pinto has completed the pilot year of the Samuelson Skillset Producer Training Programme, as featured in Variety and below.


27 March 2007 - Hell Hamsters will be screening at three more American festivals: Zompire, It Came From Lake Michigan and Another Hole In The Head.


26 March 2007 - Rare Books and Manuscripts has been selected to represent Britain in a special screening at the 2007 Brussels Short Film Festival to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the treaty of Rome.


25 March 2007 - Following a very successful screening of Hell Hamsters at the Angry Film Festival, Paul Campion has won the Best Director Award at A Night Of Horror in Sydney.


16 February 2007 - A trailer for Night of the Hell Hamsters made by Paul Campion and Jim West for the SXSW Film Festival Grindhouse Trailer competition now features on Ain't It Cool News.  You can also watch it here.


6 January 2007 -
Night of the Hell Hamsters has been selected for the 2007 Night of Horror film festival in Sydney, Australia. So far it has also received many kudos from the following websites, blogs and podcasts: BloodTypeOnline, fanofhorror, Gross Movie Reviews (which awarded it Best Independent Short Film 2006), DeadPit and DreadCentral.


21 December 2006 -
Night of the Hell Hamsters has been selected for the 2007 Nevermore Film Festival in North Carolina, USA.


25 October 2006 -
Night of the Hell Hamsterswill be screening at HorrorFest UK 2006 in November.


21 August 2006 -
Night of the Hell Hamsters has completed post-production in New Zealand and will premiere in London in early September. It will also screen at FantasyCon 2006 in Notthingam on 23 September 2006.

- Elisabeth Pinto has been selected to take part in the first Samuelson Skillset Producer Training Programme. The programme aims to fasttrack the prospects of up and coming feature film producers by giving them in-depth experience of every part of the feature film production and distribution chain.  more>
